Jon Dykstra builds media that learns from its readers.
While practising law in British Columbia, Jon started blogging to market the firm he worked at. He enjoyed it and kept building sites, and when one of them took off, publishing gradually became his full-time work.
A lifelong interest in interiors and architecture led to Home Stratosphere, which grew quickly into a major home design publication. He then launched Fat Stacks to write about how online publications are built and grown. In 2023 he founded JD Elite Interiors, a North Vancouver interior design firm, to put Home Stratosphere’s design knowledge to work in real homes.
AI workflows, human writing
In 2025 Jon rebuilt JGD Media Group’s operations around AI workflows. Reader-data analysis, reporting, scheduling, email, and lead-generation media buying for Dykstra AI and Burrard Bulletin now run on systems he designed, with clear rules and human oversight. The content itself still comes from his team of writers and editors. The same approach turned Home Stratosphere and ThreadCurve into custom data sites, where hundreds of thousands of reader votes, reactions and poll answers shape every article and every report for brands.
Through Dykstra AI, he now builds AI workflows and lead-generation systems for other businesses.
